Critter 3D Pixel Camera is designed for pixelating 3D games for a stylized 3D pixel art look. It pixelates your game in a consistent manner and makes it look smooth when moving the camera.
◼ Key features ◼
Pixel perfect (orthographic only) – Stationary objects in 3D world look stationary without jittering colors or outlines. Pixels are consistently rendered regardless of camera angle or movement. This consistency makes the resulting visuals similar to the retro pixel art style.
Smoothness (orthographic only) – Subpixel adjustments are applied to make the camera movement feel smooth.
Performance – Game is rendered at target pixel art resolution which has a significant boost on performance. It is then upscaled to the native resolution to allow subpixel movement, without compromising performance.
Versatile – Works dynamically in any camera rotation. This system uses Unity’s Transform component for its movement and rotation input values. Other settings, including resolution, can also be changed at runtime.
Interface – Provides a straight-forward interface for changing rotation, position, resolution and two different types of zooms; even at runtime.
Known issues
Web builds are not currently supported.
