FAQs
Q. What is included in the Crosshairs Pro pack?
A. There are 100+ unique crosshairs included in Crosshairs Pro as well as the source file used to create all of the crosshairs. Each crosshair has been exported at 3 resolutions (256px, 512px, and 1024px) to ensure you can easily set up and swap to the crosshair texture that will look best on your target platform. The included Figma design file includes all of the resources used to create the assets.
Q. How are the crosshairs formatted?
A. Every crosshair is a .png file with a transparent background. All crosshairs are rendered out at 256px, 512px, and 1024px resolutions. Most crosshairs do not fill the entire texture size - this is intentional so that the intended scale of each crosshair is faithfully retained when switching between crosshair assets. You can use the included Figma design file to export the crosshairs at other resolutions as well.
Q. Can I change the crosshair color?
A. Yes. each crosshair is designed using a white color at varying levels of transparency. You can change the base color of the crosshair using the image color property. Alternatively, you can hand-pick specific colors for each crosshair element using the included Figma design files.
Q. Are the source files included?
A. Yes. Crosshairs Pro was created using Figma, a free web application for interface design. All crosshair textures were created in a single Figma design file. This Figma design file is included in the package. You can import the design file to Figma, edit any of the crosshairs, and export them back to Unity.
Q. How do I change the crosshair in my Unity project?
A. To change the crosshair in your Unity project, you can either swap out the texture assigned to the crosshair GameObject or create a script to change the texture at runtime. To swap out the texture, simply drag the new texture from the project window to the crosshair GameObject in the hierarchy or scene view. To change the texture at runtime, you can create a script that accesses the sprite renderer component of the crosshair GameObject and changes the sprite value to the new texture.
Q. How do I customize the crosshair in my Unity project?
A. To customize the crosshair in your Unity project, you can use the included Figma design files to make changes to the crosshair design. You can also create your own crosshair designs using the Figma design file as a template. Alternatively, you can use the Unity Editor to customize the color and size of the crosshair. To change the color, you can use the image color property in the sprite renderer component of the crosshair GameObject. To change the size, you can use the scale property in the transform component of the crosshair GameObject.
