💡 Warning
This asset is intended for professionals, offering a depth and range of features significantly beyond what is available in Colorize. With Colorize-Pro, you are given much more unrestricted control, which means you will likely need to consult the Documentation, video guides, and support channels on Discord. Unlike Colorize, understanding some of the underlying logic behind the algorithms is essential to utilize them to their maximum potential.
Unless you specifically require the extra features provided in Colorize-Pro, we suggest starting with Colorize, which is included for free with this asset. Alternatively, you can purchase Colorize and later upgrade to Colorize-Pro at a discounted rate if needed. Both assets use the same interface, so familiarity with Colorize will prepare you better for Colorize-Pro.
Colorize-Pro removes the training wheels, giving you access to several workflows that can be combined to best suit your needs. It is much closer to a fully-fledged texture editing software than a mere asset.

🖊️ Please Note
We will continue to support, update, and optimize Colorize alongside Colorize-Pro. You should not feel compelled to upgrade to Colorize-Pro unless you need the new features it provides. For a full comparison between Colorize-Pro and Colorize, please refer to the Documentation.
📖 FAQ 💬
1-Why are Colorize-HD and Colorize-2D separate plugins?
Colorize-Pro primarily modifies texture color "palettes". Colorize-HD and Colorize-2D, with their unique processing technologies, go beyond palette modification. They're integrated with Colorize-Pro for a familiar user interface, easing the learning curve despite their standalone asset potential.
2-Why doesn't Colorize-Pro support custom shaders?
Custom shaders require in-depth shader knowledge and precise, case-sensitive field name input, which is prone to user error. While omitted from Colorize for simplicity, we're considering this feature for Colorize-Pro, targeting professional users.
3-Is Palette Fusion compatible with Colorize-Pro?
Palette Fusion works with solid texture color palettes, so it's compatible with Colorize-Pro in this context. However, it doesn't support fusion of patterned or gradient textures.
4. Why isn't Colorize-Pro compatible with the HDRP pipeline?
Palette-based models are generally uncommon in HDRP workflows. However, with the introduction of Colorize-HD, HDRP compatibility is on our development roadmap.
5-What's the future of Colorize(Original)?
Colorize will continue to be optimized and updated, maintaining its user-friendly approach. Its ease of use is key, making it accessible for users of all experience levels in game development.
6-Are there plans for Colorize-Pro-Plus?
No. Future features will be integrated into Colorize-Pro. As we expand and optimize it, the price may increase. Features outside its scope will be developed as plugins, like Colorize-HD and Colorize-2D.
7-Will there be a bundle of Colorize assets and plugins?
Here at Smitesoft, we really dislike the idea of bundling any of our assets for many reasons. However, while we can never say for certain what the future holds, we currently (July 2024) have no plans to create bundles for any of our assets, including Colorize and its plugins.
8-Why include experimental features in Colorize-Pro?
Colorize-Pro's experimental features stem from our internal development needs at Smitesoft. They are included for feedback and are either optimized and retained or discarded based on user response. These features are either not fully optimized or are new concepts we're exploring for their potential utility.
9. Why include Open-AI integration, which requires an account and may not always be free?
The integration with Open-AI in Colorize-Pro is an optional feature, included as a 'nice to have' for those who might find it beneficial. It's important to note that all functions achievable with Open-AI can also be performed manually. For texture injection, we offer a mode that allows you to inject your own textures. In terms of palette generation, users have the flexibility to manually create palettes, and we've included about 250 pre-made palettes for ease of use. At Smitesoft, these extra features aren't essential to our workflow, but we've included them to cater to a wider range of user needs and preferences. Looking ahead, we're considering adding integration with Unity-Muse as another option for our users.
