Havok Physics offers one of the fastest, most robust collision detection and physical simulation technology available, making it the gold standard within the games industry and has been used by more than half of the top selling titles of this console generation.
Havok Physics for Unity (experimental package) brings this power to Unity creators through a close partnership between Havok and Unity engineering teams. This is a first-class integration for DOTS-based projects sharing the same data model used by Unity Physics, meaning seamlessly select between simulating your scene using Unity Physics or Havok Physics, without needing to reauthor your assets.
Havok Physics for Unity is currently available only in an experimental state, so that creators exploring the Data Oriented Technology Stack can have this robust tool at their disposal. Unity does not recommend it for projects currently in production.
| Distribution
Havok Physics for Unity (experimental package) is distributed through the Unity Package Manager. Starting October 13, 2022 this experimental package will no longer be available for new subscriptions, and will no longer auto-renew. Havok Physics for Unity (full release) will be available with Unity 2022.2.The experimental release of Havok Physics for Unity will unavailable for new subscriptions beyond October 13, 2022.

| Performance
Havok Physics is heavily optimized for typical game use cases. Core algorithms have been refined over many years, and various automatic caching strategies (including sleeping of inactive objects) mean that CPU resources are spent only where needed.
| Behavior
Havok Physics is a robust physics engine designed to handle the demands of AAA games, which often include complex scenes with lots of physical interaction. By working with partners across the industry for over twenty years, Havok has seen, solved and continue to iterate on many of the hardest problems facing physics simulation.
This means stable stacking of physics bodies, minimal artifacts when you have fast moving bodies, and in general more controlled behavior especially when given non-optimized collision geometry.
